The letter form is selected from a 26-character uppercase serif typeface drawn specifically for this product, with stroke widths scaled to maintain visual weight consistency from narrow letters such as I and J to broad letters such as M and W across a uniform 40 mm height. Each letter is individually investment-cast in C380 high-tensile brass using wax injection tooling accurate to 0.1 mm, producing a crisp serif edge definition impossible to achieve in lower-pressure die casting. The cast letter receives five stages of surface preparation: vibratory deburring, hand filing of any visible parting line marks, electropolishing in phosphoric acid solution to round micro-burrs, strike plating in copper at 5 microns for adhesion, and final 24-karat gold electrodeposition at 2.5 microns thickness conforming to ISO 8497 jewellery plating standards. An optional PVD gold overcoat at 0.5 microns additional thickness is available on premium variants, providing a hardness of 1,700 HV Vickers versus 500 HV for standard gold plate.
