The keychain body measures 52 mm by 44 mm and is cast at 2.0 mm thickness, with each of the 89 filled pixel squares raised 0.5 mm above the background plane in a regular 4.0 mm by 4.0 mm pixel grid, creating a three-dimensional stepped surface that casts dramatic micro-shadows under direct lighting. The zinc alloy formulation ZA-8 is chosen for its excellent reproduction of the sharp 90-degree corners between adjacent pixel squares, a critical visual requirement given that any rounding of pixel corners undermines the distinctly blocky character of 8-bit aesthetics. The front face receives a scarlet red powder coat baked at 175 degrees Celsius, then the raised pixel tops are selectively polished to bright metal to create a two-tone effect simulating the highlight lighting of classic video game heart sprites.
